DT 8:2 Remember how the LORD your God led you all the way in the desert these forty years, to humble
you and to test you in order to know what was in your heart, whether or not you would keep his commands. 3 He humbled you,
causing you to hunger and then feeding you with manna, which neither you nor your fathers had known, to teach you that man
does not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of the LORD. 4 Your clothes did not wear out and
your feet did not swell during these forty years. 5 Know then in your heart that as a man disciplines his son, so the LORD
your God disciplines you.
If God pulls back your anointing for a short season try not to get offended, take it personal, or
think that there is some gross sin that you have overlooked, because it may just simply be God giving us a reality check to
guard against pride polluting what He is doing through us. There were times that as Joshua and the Israelites took the promised
land that things happened to remind them that they needed to be humble, submitted, and careful as they proceeded. Great victories
have come for God's people and it is ok to rejoice in what God does, but it is also important not to believe your own press
so to speak and that if people are ministered to by us and try to praise us that we just understand that they are really praising
and thanking God through us.
AC 14:11 When the crowd saw what Paul had done, they shouted in the Lycaonian language, "The gods
have come down to us in human form!"
AC 14:14 But when the apostles Barnabas and Paul heard of this, they tore their clothes and rushed
out into the crowd, shouting: 15 "Men, why are you doing this? We too are only men, human like you. We are bringing you good
news, telling you to turn from these worthless things to the living God, who made heaven and earth and sea and everything
in them.
