Your Record of Faith
If you have been in the wilderness for a while, you may have noticed that God will usually not do things the easy
way, and that He has engineered your wilderness activities, needs, and challenges, to require pure faith to get through them.
Whether you have had to pay a bill that you have no money for, be healed for a physical problem that you have no medical care
for, or to help you to overcome a sin habit. God wants to build a record of faith in your life that He can use to encourage
and build up other people’s faith with. The very stumbling blocks that used to be your reproach, will later be used
as stepping stones to build a path to a ministry to show others how God can help them just the same way that He helped you.
Someday, you may actually be thankful that God allowed some of these problems to happen in your life, because they will provide
the very foundation of faith and experience that your service to mankind is later built upon.
It can be frustrating at times because you may find yourself just wanting God to give you an easy way out of your
problem. But what God is doing is building a treasure chest of faith that you can open up and pull out a past miracle from
to give people faith to believe that God will help them in just the same way as He helped you. When God decides to do a miracle
in your life, He will allow a situation to become absolutely impossible before He will step in and act. He does this so that
you know completely that it was Him that helped you, and so that nobody or nothing else will receive the glory but Himself
for what He does. God wants people to believe in Him, and that's why He allows your problem to become so unsolvable first.
You can either choose to get offended, or to get excited when an impossible problem crops up. But when you see enough times
of how God has faithfully helped you, you will learn to better trust in His love and desire to help you, and it will also
show you just how reliable He truly is. God just wants to build your faith.
God has built your faith so that you can believe for even greater things as we enter this time of great revival
and spiritual warfare. All of the faith that God built in your wilderness will help you to have faith for the tougher battles
ahead in your Canaan. When you have seen God provide and protect you enough times, you will have faith and not fear when you
see an impossible need, battle, or enemy rise up in front of you in your promise land ministry. Try to see your challenges
as an opportunity to add yet another great victory to your record of faith. Although we may get weary at the end of our wilderness,
we cannot just expect everything ahead to be easy. It is a war. Let's not just talk about what God once did, but let's allow
Him to take us to an even greater level of trusting Him. What God does in your life now, will result in lasting eternal glory
for Him.
1SA 17:37 The LORD who delivered me from the paw of the lion and the paw of the bear will deliver
me from the hand of this Philistine." Saul said to David, "Go, and the LORD be with you."
JAS 1:2 Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3 because you know
that the testing of your faith develops perseverance.
JAS 2:5 Listen, my dear brothers: Has not God chosen those who are poor in the eyes of the world to
be rich in faith and to inherit the kingdom he promised those who love him?
1PE 1:6 In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief
in all kinds of trials. 7 These have come so that your faith--of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined
by fire--may be proved genuine and may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed.
DT 7:17 You may say to yourselves, "These nations are stronger than we are. How can we drive them
out?" 18 But do not be afraid of them; remember well what the LORD your God did to Pharaoh and to all Egypt. 19 You saw with
your own eyes the great trials, the miraculous signs and wonders, the mighty hand and outstretched arm, with which the LORD
your God brought you out. The LORD your God will do the same to all the peoples you now fear.
HEB 11:6 And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe
that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.
All of Hebrews chapter 11 is a good record of people in the bible who walked by faith.
