Would God Make A Fool Out Of You?
1CO 4:10 We are fools for Christ, but you are so wise in Christ! We are weak, but you are strong!
You are honored, we are dishonored! 11 To this very hour we go hungry and thirsty, we are in rags, we are brutally treated,
we are homeless. 12 We work hard with our own hands. When we are cursed, we bless; when we are persecuted, we endure it; 13
when we are slandered, we answer kindly. Up to this moment we have become the scum of the earth, the refuse of the world.
Would God make you look like a fool sometimes in life? The answer is yes, especially if you have been
led out into the wilderness to have your soul gone through. God shuts down everything in your life to overhaul your mind,
will, and emotions, and He is not concerned about your reputation, He is only concerned about healing and helping you. Like
the original Israelites in the wilderness, God puts you into a survival lifestyle and everyone around you may look at you
and just shake their heads like you have lost your mind, because they still have a lot of control over their lives. The wilderness
strips you of most of your beauty, virtue, and giftings for a season, and it causes you to live in very challenging circumstances
for as long as God says so. You learn to live only on God's daily manna, and a lot of humble pie.
God may have done all kinds of things in your life in order to get you to focus only upon healing
and changing. You may have had to leave the ministry or a job under difficult or even disgraceful circumstances, you may have
had to go jobless for a while, receive money from people you'd really rather not have, eat from a food bank, sleep on people's
couches, live off of the grid, have your sin exposed and found out by everyone, gone through addictions and treatment centers,
been abandoned or rejected by friends and family. The list can go on and on, but you get the point. Just remember that like
the original Israelites, there is a promised land waiting for you and it is the souls of mankind. You may have had to look
like a fool for a time my friend, but God is only doing this so that He can live through you in love and power.
DT 8:2 Remember how the LORD your God led you all the way in the desert these forty years, to humble
you and to test you in order to know what was in your heart, whether or not you would keep his commands. 3 He humbled you,
causing you to hunger and then feeding you with manna, which neither you nor your fathers had known, to teach you that man
does not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of the LORD. 4 Your clothes did not wear out and
your feet did not swell during these forty years. 5 Know then in your heart that as a man disciplines his son, so the LORD
your God disciplines you.
