For most of us who are leaving our wilderness, the Holy Spirit has been tapping us on the shoulder about things that have been wasting the time and resources in our lives. It is time to fully repent of all sin and to cease all works that do not produce good fruit for the kingdom. We have also entered a time where we will become very busy with God's work and so many of the not-so productive things that we used to fill our time with will need to be pruned away. It is a time where God wants us to come to Him in prayer and to know Him at a deeper way, but in order to do that we will need to identify what has been eating up all of our time and to vigorously free up that time.

Things like TV, computers, movies, hobbies, excessive work, fleshly ministry, or whatever else has been eating up all of our time will need to be revealed and released. Entertainment or hobbies are OK to a limited point, but we have gotten so used to filling up all of our time with them in order to get through and endure our wilderness time that they can easily crowd out the new things that God wants to bring into our lives. Allow yourself to let go of your old familiar wilderness pacifiers and to embrace the new promised land activities that God wants you to be involved in. Some things we do just because they are familiar to us and they give us a sense of security, but such things can easily become an idol, hindrance, and distraction to the new season we have entered.

Understand that God wants to give you new things and in order to do that you will need to let go of the old things to be able to receive them. It is our time to work and to war, and instead of living in a tent and eating manna you must take up your sword and join together with others like you in order to take the promised land that God is leading us all into. This world is in big trouble and they need to see the power and love of Jesus Christ through people that have been carefully prepared in the wilderness. It is time to shake the sand out of our spiritual sandals and to cross the river together. This is your day to stand up my friend so allow the time wasters to be shaved off from your life and get excited about all the new things that God wants to give you and to do through you to help the many lost and needy souls who are looking for answers.
