NU 11:4 The rabble with them began to crave other food, and again the Israelites started wailing and
said, "If only we had meat to eat! 5 We remember the fish we ate in Egypt at no cost--also the cucumbers, melons, leeks, onions
and garlic. 6 But now we have lost our appetite; we never see anything but this manna!"
There is a real danger in the wilderness especially around the end of it where you may be tempted
to compare how good others peoples lives seem compared to your difficult wilderness life. When this happens you can fall into
self-pity, depression, and get a real attitude with God. Of course satan is right there to accuse God of child abuse and demons
will even tell you how to tell God off. If you fall into this trap the result can just be deeper depression, anxiety, and
sadness when you self-destruct.
PS 42:5 Why are you downcast, O my soul? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will
yet praise him, my Savior and 6 my God.
The best way to get out of the pit of self-pity and the trap of comparing is to tell yourself the
truth and to thank God for all that He has given you. Sure your life may be different than other peoples lives, but God is
developing faith in you so you must be completely dependent upon Him and limited to the bare essentials. God wants to bring
long term change to your inside so He must cause your outside life to help make this happen. God will be faithful to you so
try to be thankful and walk in truth.
JER 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to
harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
