Financing the Harvest

AC 4:32 All the believers were one in heart and mind. No one claimed that any of his possessions was his own, but they shared everything they had. 33 With great power the apostles continued to testify to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and much grace was upon them all. 34 There were no needy persons among them. For from time to time those who owned lands or houses sold them, brought the money from the sales 35 and put it at the apostles' feet, and it was distributed to anyone as he had need.

In this coming revival we will need money, it is unavoidable, but where will it come from? The biblical pattern according to Acts is that those who were saved brought offerings as God led them to. This will likely repeat itself very soon. As the power of God saves and helps people they will be very thankful and want to contribute to what God is doing. The Holy Spirit will help us with all the logistics of having many people come into the kingdom at once during a time of super-revival and all that it will take to provide, protect, and preserve them. Jesus even needed to use money during ministry.

LK 8:3 Joanna the wife of Cuza, the manager of Herod's household; Susanna; and many others. These women were helping to support them out of their own means.

JN 13:29 Since Judas had charge of the money, some thought Jesus was telling him to buy what was needed for the Feast, or to give something to the poor.

We live in a world that God has designed to operate financially on money in some form or another in order for us to meet our needs and He also uses it as a tool to build relationship between us and Him financially. Satan has tried to pervert the truth about money by manipulating people into either being greedy, or to suffer in constant need because they think that having money is somehow worldly or nonspiritual. When we believe lies about how God designed things to work financially, or we are disobedient with money, we can suffer needlessly and feel that God really doesn't care about us.

JOS 5:12 The manna stopped the day after they ate this food from the land; there was no longer any manna for the Israelites, but that year they ate of the produce of Canaan.

After the wilderness the Israelites plundered the promised land not only as a reward and blessing from God, but also to establish God's kingdom in Canaan. After our wilderness God is also going to allow us to receive in different ways in order for us to be restored, finance this revival, and to establish His kingdom here on earth through the saving and practical care of many people. Greed will likely not be our problem during the the conquest of our promised land, it will be having a poverty mindset due to believing the lie that having money is somehow sinful and that we should stay poor.

LK 22:35 Then Jesus asked them, "When I sent you without purse, bag or sandals, did you lack anything?"

"Nothing," they answered.

LK 22:36 He said to them, "But now if you have a purse, take it, and also a bag; and if you don't have a sword, sell your cloak and buy one. 37 It is written: `And he was numbered with the transgressors' ; and I tell you that this must be fulfilled in me. Yes, what is written about me is reaching its fulfillment."

There is a time when you don't take a purse and a time when you do. The key is to ask the Lord which time it is. During times of high grace Jesus told the disciples to go out with nothing and God would provide everything, but there was also a time of severe persecution coming when they would need to be resourceful and survive on what God had placed in their hands. We who have lived in the wilderness have had to learn to live by faith with basically no purse, but now things are about to change where God is going to bless and restore us financially and materially in order to meet many needs.

DT 6:10 When the LORD your God brings you into the land he swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, to give you--a land with large, flourishing cities you did not build, 11 houses filled with all kinds of good things you did not provide, wells you did not dig, and vineyards and olive groves you did not plant--then when you eat and are satisfied, 12 be careful that you do not forget the LORD, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery.

Most of us are now about to leave our wilderness and we must be ready to receive whatever God wants to place into our hands to establish His purposes in this revival because whether we like it or not we will still have to use money until the kingdom of Jesus Christ is fully manifested by His return. I would invite you to go to God and ask Him to cleanse your heart of any lies you have believed about finances. We must move from a prosperity or poverty mindset into a Kingdom mindset. The miracles you will need to be restored will require faith so do not allow doubt or lies to hinder them.

JOB 42:10 After Job had prayed for his friends, the LORD made him prosperous again and gave him twice as much as he had before. 11 All his brothers and sisters and everyone who had known him before came and ate with him in his house. They comforted and consoled him over all the trouble the LORD had brought upon him, and each one gave him a piece of silver and a gold ring. 12a The LORD blessed the latter part of Job's life more than the first.
