Final Weeding
MT 13:40 "As the weeds are pulled up and burned in
the fire, so it will be at the end of the age. 41 The Son of Man will send out his angels, and they will weed out of his kingdom
everything that causes sin and all who do evil.
The above scripture talks about when Jesus Christ returns and any person
that does not produce good fruit in the kingdom and who only takes up space and resources will be pulled up like a weed and
then removed from it. But God has been doing a personal weeding beforehand in His own people where anything that has just
been draining our spiritual nutrients and crowding out the good fruit is being pulled up and gotten rid of.
PR 13:12
Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life.
Many people are at the very end of their
wilderness weeding time where only a few spiritual sapsuckers remain in our life, but these last few weeds are proving to
be very tough ones because many have become discouraged after so much work and so little blessing to show for it. Some have
even replanted a few weeds because we think we need them and satan has tricked us into thinking our weeding is just a waste
of time.
LK 14:29 For if he lays the foundation and is not able to finish it, everyone who sees it will ridicule him,
30 saying, `This fellow began to build and was not able to finish.'
Once God's rains come any weeds left in our lives
will also grow, so we must make sure that all the weeds are pulled up before God's power and the pressure of it comes. God
plans to build high upon the foundation He has built in our life so He will not fudge or budge on making sure that foundation
is truly sure first. We must all cooperate with God to pull every remaining weed in our life so that our witness is not blown
later on.
1SA 15:22 But Samuel replied: "Does the LORD delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices
as much as in obeying
the voice of the LORD? To obey is better than sacrifice,
and to heed is better than the fat of rams.
You might feel
really weary right now of waiting for God's blessing, but what God is waiting for is just complete obedience on our part.
He doesn't need us to make big sacrifices, He just needs us to fully obey His directions to repent. After God begins to flow
through us in power our lives will come under tremendous scrutiny, so all things must be made right first. Finish God's weeding
and His power and blessing will come.
MT 12:33 "Make a tree good and its fruit will be good, or make a tree bad and
its fruit will be bad, for a tree is recognized by its fruit.
